My wife and I were changing jobs requiring us to move to a different state, so in a somewhat sudden and quick fashion we realized we needed to sell our house. We interviewed several realtors, some of which we had already pre-existing relationships with, but Michael (and Danielle Lazier) blew us away from the start.  From their rapid responsiveness over email, to the professionalism in our initial discussion, we felt we could trust in them to not only sell our home, but also help coordinate all that goes into selling a home.  This was important to us since we would be traveling a lot, house hunting, and having to move out pretty quickly.

I've never left a Yelp review before, but this was the place to start. Michael Minson and his team are the absolute best, on both sides of a real estate transaction. Michael helped us through the long, frustrating, miserable search for a house in San Francisco in 2015. He's incredibly fast to respond (I remember getting an "out of office" message when he expected to be away from his phone for just a few hours!), he was patient with our inability to accept that we had to make offers hundreds of thousands of dollars above asking, and he eventually guided us through our winning bid with great strategy. Once we'd bought the house, he had fantastic recommendations for painters, handymen, etc. 
Then, 14 months later, when we decided it was time to leave San Francisco, he helped us sell the house quickly and easily. Despite the relative flatness of the market last year, Michael's advice on staging, landscaping, and marketing helped us make a comfortable profit. His team of graphic designers, copywriters, photographers, inspectors, floor plan measurers, assistants and everything else kept the whole process ticking along with almost nothing for us to worry about except our big move.

Let me preface by saying that I come from a huge family of real estate professionals, and I myself am one test away from having a real estate license myself. I still chose Michael to sell my home in Bernal Heights because his expertise, professionalism and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome are unparalleled. 

We came to him with our dream sales price, moved out 2 weeks later, and had him lightly remodel/touch up our home while we were in Hawaii. Michael's experience as a project manager shined.  We are two overeducated professionals who had just moved with our kids to a different state, and we found Michael on Yelp.  We needed someone to manage every aspect of our house sale, including inspections, significant remodeling, safety upgrades, paint color choices, staging and marketing.  Michael's honesty, strong sense of personal integrity and project management skills set us at ease.  His counsel regarding remodeling choices that would yield the most return on our investment saved us.  His strong communication skills left us feeling guided by a professional and respected with each of the myriad decisions.

Michael and his team's marketing expertise yielded fantastic results.  They studied the comps and determined a good asking price.  They had photographers and copy writers produce marketing material and posted beautiful descriptions and photographs of the final product on various online sites.  

The end result was phenomenal!  We had four bids, two of them all cash offers.  We decided on an all cash, short escrow, significantly above asking.

I worked with Michael at Autodesk where he excelled in his job and was highly respected as well. So of course I contacted him right away when we started looking for a condo in SF.   Since my son had more time than I at the start, he started working with Michael at first, previewing various condo options. Michael treated him with as much care and attentiveness as with myself and husband who was located in Southeast Asia on a project during the whole process.  We fell in love with a condo that we lost in the bidding process. After that, Michael continued to show us new places, but we didn't like anything nearly as much as our first choice.  During this time, Michael kept in touch with the seller's realtor of the condo we liked and after 4 weeks, the other party's loan fell through and Michael convinced the seller to go with us. We were thrilled.  Michael's tenaciousness and initiative made this possible.  He focused on the issue most important to the seller, which was time vs. selling price at that point, and connected us with a bank lender and title company where we could get our loan expedited in two weeks.  He stayed on top of the whole process to make sure it went smoothly, which it did.  Michael's professionalism and comfortable manner made the whole process a pleasure and delight.  We love our new place and we're all very grateful for all of Michael's outstanding help.
